Hurricane Valley Kids Care Club: Saturday, October 31, 2009

The Hurricane Valley Kids Care Club had a "Howl"oween party at the animal shelter. The kids came in their Halloween costumes and brought cat toys, dog treats and even a collar for a dog. The animal control officer Linda told the kids about the animal shelter and why we need them.

We walked around the shelter to see all the dogs and cats. Then the kids were able to give their treats or toys to the dogs and cats. The kids loved this and so did the animals. The dogs sure chomped up a lot of treats, and the cats started playing with their balls right away. Thanks to all the kids who were able to come and have some fun with the animals who don't have a home right now. And thanks to Linda for letting us have a party with the animals. She let us know at the end of our party that a fortunate dog was adopted during the party. A man came in to find a pet for his family. Great job kids!
