The Great Kindness Challenge

On August 8, 2009 the Kids for Peace challenged kids all over to perform as many kinds deeds as they could in one day. There was a list of fifty different challenges to choose from. It was of course a crazy busy day for about everyone. The Clyde family was able to squeeze in a few deeds that day. First the girls swept the sidewalk then they wrote messages with chalk on the sidewalk. There was hearts and flowers and messages such as "have a nice day" and "smile".
Other things that were done that day from others as well were: Doing household chores without being asked, helping little sisters, reading a book to little sisters, pushing someone on a swing, writing a love note to their parents, recycling trash, hugging siblings, leaving flowers on next door neighbors door step, calling Grandma, and other things to help around the house. The Campbells and Cydes met at the park later and the kids talked a bit about what they did and then played together. Hope everyone had a great day that day!
